Howdy!

Has anyone made that horrible mistake?

Did you take a picture of the damage?

If so, there could be some cool swag for you if you would like to hand
over the picture.

Email if you have a good one.

Default Wanted: Picture of bikes damaged from running into garage on roof rack- OUCH!

Sorry no pics, but this misfortune really did happen to us twice. My wife
was laughing her head off when I tried to mate the house with our bikes. A
year later she tried to do the same thing except I wasn't laughing. Both
times caused roof damage to the car - the rack mounts peeled back the car's
rain gutters and roof edge. Very ugly. The body shop guy was incredulous
when he saw the car come back in the second time for the same damage. The
Yakima rack had some damage to the trays and bars but after some repair I
still use it. To avoid another mishap we place a chair in the middle of
the garage when we have the bikes on the roof. It works.
