Anyway, a BS EN-1485 rated helmet will withstand a single blow from a
halberd in the test lab, therefore it was Richard's contributory
negligence for not wearing one. Or more likely not breaking off the
fight to fit a replacement helmet after the first had been struck once.

I don't think that King Richard was capable of time travel into the
future to discover that such a thing as a bicycle will exist.
