The Chinese like big construction projects and have a lot of cyclists
and traffic jams in their major cities. *Maybe they'll hack into my
computer and get my "underground streets" plans for Bejing.

In the summer motor traffic would be below ground and in winter
cyclists.

Yes putting cars out of the way in tunnels would be a good solution.
The Chinese seem to be leading the way environmentally and socially
these days. They are also big on electric bicycles aren't they and I
have one of them which seems to work very well and is sturdy.

In Shanghai, where I was until a few days ago, the cars are mostly out
of the way on elevated highways, not underground.
