In the summer motor traffic would be below ground and in winter cyclists. Yes putting cars out of the way in tunnels would be a good solution. The Chinese seem to be leading the way environmentally and socially these days. They are also big on electric bicycles aren't they and I have one of them which seems to work very well and is sturdy. -- . In Shanghai, where I was until a few days ago, the cars are mostly out of the way on elevated highways, not underground. |
