Default Compatibility issue? Campy 10s triple fd & 8spd chain

Friction shifting. Cage too narrow for the 8 speed
chain? Crank is 30/39/52.

Thanks. Ken

Is that a statement or question? I use a '10s' FD with an otherwise 7s
friction system with a PC-58 chain w/o problem.

Don't you have to pop out the plastc dingus in the cage to make it 5-9
compatible?

I did, but the 7mm chain fit in there with it. That thingy was for
first gen permalink pins, to ensure they didn't get rubbed off by a
poorly used FD. I removed it more because it is uneccesary and silly,
more than anything.

It's a question, & I want to do what you are doing.
Thanks. Ken
