Lovely sunny evening, I rode home with the kind of tailwind which
takes the edge off the wind resistance without feeling like you're
cheating, sropped a roadie on a Principia going up the big hill out of
Goring, passed the time of day with a lady on a Galaxy, dropped the
roadie again (OK, he was off to a training session so not overdoing
it, but let's not let that spoil my pleasure!) - and on top of all
that, the Martlew bill is holed below the waterline.

Life is good :-)

Let's hope the man who spouts stuff like: "I would suggest to the CTC
that if they want to be taken seriously they should change their
policies and their leadership" loses his seat at the next election.
Looking at the 2001 figures, it's possible. I used to think the Tories
were the pro-motorist anti-cycling mob, but now I'm not so sure.

The way Martlew lashed out in all directions against anyone who dared
to use reasoned argument against him illustrates just what a nasty
piece of work he is. He thought he'd found a nice uncontentious winner
to make his reputation with. Instead it has destroyed his credibility
entirely. I would suggest to his constituency party that if they want
to be taken seriously they should change their candidate.
