Comments welcome.

#13 - Handlebar-mounted book stands have been around as long as
training stands have been. I can't believe you bought a trainer
without being offered one as an add-on.

Hank,

Thank you for the link and the sarcasm. That book caddy is only worth
what you pay for it. For smaller paperback books that need some effort
to be kept open, this thing are not going to work.

No sarcasm at all. Such an item exists, and your description made no
acknowledgement of it, nor distinction as to the efficacy of existing
models. Quite simply your "new idea" is not at all new.

It would be like saying that a cool new idea for a cycling product
would be a bike with pedals that go up and down, instead of in
circles, so riding would be like climbing stairs. This would ignore
the existence of the Alenax, as well as ignore its continued failure
despite numerous redesigns and relaunches every few years.

A prior work search is not difficult with google at your disposal. Or
the latest Nashbar catalog.
