Low recumbent bike , has 30 speeds
Each wheel has a chain going fwd to a foot lever , its naturally in low gear , this gear is low enuf to pull a Mack truck cause of the chains short distance to footpedals pivot , as you push , you can release pins , that catch the chain and move it away from pivot , for high speed , this mechanism has no limits , you can get any reduction you need , start with cheap 16 tooth freewheels and make your own foot levers , use hvy springs to return the foot levers , you cud also create a cross over , continous chain, cable system , w/o springs , if you pushed R pedal , you'd feel L pedal pushing you , small 20 inch wheel in back for steering , cutting brakes can aide high speed steering .. you cud push a prefered pedal in turns , and a 2nd set of pedals cud camber the wheels , for really high speed . At 50mph , it shud feel secure , and stable , of course i use 6007 ball bearings in the wheels ! dont try to use common parts , |
