Default Maxxis tire combination for MTB

Bob, who's a racer in Colorado, set me up with Maxxis tire combination,
and I didn't trust him until I tried it yesterday for the first time. I
didn't trust him because he works for a group trying to get me out of
Colorado.

He sold me a Minion DH Specific Maxxpro, and I trusted him on that
that's a superb tire. But then he sold me a Maxxis Ignitor which is
tubeless, and he told me to use it with an inntertube, so I waited for
awhile before I put the tire on, I didn't trust him because the beads
were so small.

The tread beads in the middle looked small to me compared to the
outside the beads are very large and extruding, and uninflated you
can't see how once it's inflated they equal out perfectly. This tire is
amazing in how it's technology works. It's designed for speed and
traction, so the bead positioning is logistic so it doesn't impair
speed yet still gives you maximum grip. It with the Minion on back is
perfect, I don't think you could beat this level of traction. I got
both tires for $55.00.

Who has used Maxxis and Kenda, and which one is better?
