Default Pink Tassles?

For my wife's new bicycle, I am tracking down pink bits. I'm "poodleing"
the bike. Yeah, it's pretty gay . . .but it's not for me. Honest!

The bike is a black Specialized Sirrus (
http://www.specialized.com/bc/SBCBkM...p?sid=05Sirrus ).

Saddle and bottle cage are coming from Terry, as shown at

http://www.terrybicycles.com/product.html?c=Simply+Pink

I need tassels for the grips. Also need a pink flowered handlebar basket.

Tassels are so retro that you'll probably have to make them. For a
pink flowered basket, I suspect you'll need to either buy a cheap
little-girl's bike and snag it from there, or buy the black
astebasket-shaped handlebar-mounted basket at target and redecorate
it. If it's powder coated, though, it probably will resist
repainting.

Cruise WalMart, Target, etc. If necessary, feel guilty while shopping
at a big box.

I doubt you'll find tassles anywhere at retail - they've been banned by
the Consumer Products Safety Commission.

Somebody somewhere isn't paying attention, then. I've seen a couple
on a low-rider and a cruiser, despite the fact that I haven't seen
them in a store anywhere. Perhaps there's some other source outside
the bike market; possiby in a deep-sea fishing tackle store.

Back in the '60s, I think we called them "streamers" rather than
tassels.

That last suggestion of the word "streamers" should do the trick for
you. See:
