Julich's third place
Given the non-starts, doping positives, team dismissals, and team
"retirements" related to the '07 Tour, will rbr get give this year's podium the same "recognition" as they generally do for Bobby's third place, or lighten up on Julich's '98 result in comparison to this year's doping related non-finishers? Discuss. |

In both that tour and the previous one Julich had been one of the strongest riders in the Peleton in the third week. I remember him picking off three or four places a day for days in succession. He had to deliver at about the same level that Contador did yesterday in the final time trial to seal the podium position too. |

They really got a kick when a favorite didn't win something, although the most they would ever contribute to any sport would be the payments for tickets they bought from scalpers. Great riders, juiced or not, have earned their places, and I'm certain they don't worry about their reception on RBR. -- Sandy -- S'endormir au volant, c'est très dangereux. Maybe it's a French thing? KP |
