I have 3 healthy incomes and retired at age 54.

Is that why you had to downsize?

Simon posts too much about his life.

I fully agree.

Highway Code to show to motorists who insist cyclists are required by
law to use cycle paths but ASL's are optional for bus and taxi
drivers.

I've considered printing out a few of the sections that the more
egregiously ignorant motorists need to understand, so I can just stick
them in a window or under a wiper, the better to inform them of their
error. But it would probably be too much trouble to dig out the
appropriate piece and deliver it, as I no longer use a handlebar bag.

That's an idea.

And perhaps it would be an idea to have some printed copies of Rule 168:

"... If a driver is trying to overtake you, maintain a steady course and
speed, *slowing* *down* if necessary to let the vehicle pass. *Never*
*obstruct* drivers who wish to pass..."

I can top that.

When I was crossing a road on foot, a driver nearly ran me over as she turned into my road from a main road. Since my daughter had an old AA learner driver DVD and rule book going spare, the day after, I left it propped up on the driver's house front door with a print out of HC Rule 170 attached to it.

QUOTE:
"Watch out for pedestrians crossing a road into which you are turning. If they have started to cross ***they have priority*** (my emphasis), so give way."
END QUOTE.

At the time, I insisted that it was SHE that had to give way to ME, but she once again, (as drivers do), spent 5 minutes arguing the toss despite being in SO much of a hurry.

*Everybody* should obey that one. That certainly includes lorry drivers
and cyclists.

In context, you either:

(a) made that clear enough in your description (in which case the
contents of the video don't need to be seen for practical purposes), or

(b) you were talking out of some inappropriate orifice.

Which one was it?

I'll go along with whichever one of the two you choose.

Bloody hell! Cyclists who ride like that deserve to be taken off the

roads. That video was insanity!.

I agree, EVERYBODY should watch that video so they can see the type

of idiots on bicycles who give decent cyclists a bad name.
I've never seen such irresponsible cycling as that. Mental!
