This is just the way we do things in Ory-gun. Horses, lassos, old West justice. We can excuse murder because there is some people that just needs kill'n, but their ain't no bike that needs steal'n. We hang bike rustlers from the light post in front of the old Starbucks down in the town square..

in general, the population east of the mtns is either crazy, lunatic, or plainly stark raving mad.

Medford is south. Ashland is a dozen miles south of Medford and has one of the oldest and largest professional Shakespeare theaters in the United States. https://www.osfashland.org/ I suppose that's kind of crazy. The crazy people out east were from elsewhere. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Occupa...ildlife_Refuge

The cowboys out east are, well, cowboys -- guys on horses that herd cows, fix fences, the usual cowboy stuff. Not crazy -- conservative, maybe. I think Florida has us beat right now for crazy people.

Some chunk of your culture is from Wisconsin. Linguists note
cultural connections from upstate NY to WI to OR.

Wisconsin's deep history of cultural and scientific contributions to Western Civilization is duly noted.

We actually swiped a lot of Wisconsin's statutory law for some reason. We had some Wisconsin fan-boys in the legislature way back when.

Same people; it was a migration pattern. See also Horicon NY
