TDU has been approved by the UCI for 2008 Pro Tour,
according to the 'Age' (http://tinyurl.com/2zotdb).

difficult.

Since this is now ProTour rated.... does this mean the only local team
(barring wildcards) that will get a run is Drapac?

That'd be a nice turn around for them http://tinyurl.com/22xvzc

yeah, I'm sure they will like the prospect, but here is the outline
from the UCI on Pro Tour rule on Participation

-*Participation* -

-The races of the UCI ProTour calendar are open first and foremost to
UCI ProTeams. UCI Professional Continental Teams, ranked second in the
hierarchy and structures taking part primarily in all races on their
continental circuit, are able to ride in the races of the UCI ProTour
calendar, but only if they are invited.-:: ::

::::
So that opens the door to a few ( if they are *invited*).
Not sure who the invitation has to come from, but probably the race
organisers with the counsel/prior consultation of the UCI Pro Tour
hierachy, I guess.
Noting they werent invited last time, but appeared to be "'overtly
un-invited\".' (http://tinyurl.com/22xvzc) as you linked above.
