Someone told me once that political discussion here is mostly a
waste of time. Do you think he was correct?

I must say though, extensive cutting and pasting does allow one
to waste time much more efficiently. Even if it does make you look
like a dumbass because you can't make your case in your own words
and in a concise fashion. Your argument can be brilliant and
crushing, but you still look like a dumbass because no one will
read all that ****.

Oh by the way, it's "stupidity".

If you believe convincing others is the measure, yes. To help one crystallize
their own understanding of the world around them, I would not be so quick to
answer in the negative.

I must say though, extensive cutting and pasting does allow one

LOL. "Concise fashion" was remotely possible? And that's why phd's spend
entire careers and write entire books on the very topic? There isn't a
bumpersticker version. There isn't a 4 paragraph usenet version.

It is not my job to be concise in a bike racing newsgroup where I'm not getting
paid, and it isn't even on-topic. I gave a lot of the necessary data, gave some
pointers, and appealed to some authorities. But I can't crack a granite skull
that doesn't want to be cracked -- the cost is too high. Mullin has the liberty
to think what he wants -- even if badly wrong.

Your argument can be brilliant and crushing, but
you still look like a dumbass because no one will

Of course. It is some pointers to authorities and data for anyone who wishes;
before even doing it I knowingly resign to having it ignored and I assume it
will be (Mullin ignored all of it). Barnett's books will be ignored by most
people and they represent a lot better work than I can do. "Proving the case"
maybe isn't that important. Injecting sliver of doubt to be chewed on over time
may be all that can and should be hoped for.

Oh by the way, it's "stupidity".

Thanks.

Dude,
So how, specifically, am I wrong? ****, I agree with most of
what you posted. But you're the one who said individual liberty was the
prime directive. I simply ask you to explain how that is consistent
with contradictory evidence from the founding documents and history or
our nation. Nothing you have posted has addressed those issues. It's
not that my skull doesn't want to be cracked....to the contrary, I find
it to be a liberating experience....it's just that, so far, you haven't
really tried.

Dude, welcome to the All-England Summarize Proust Competition. In
the end the prize goes to the chick with the biggest tits. How come
it's taken you so long to figure this out?

That's the main reason that Henry is correct that there is no point
in political discussions here. And why more people will read this
than will read your voluminous cut-n-paste ****.

Take your posting cues from heather, she's SR here. Although she
occasionally loans the title to Ewoud.

If you ran your stuff through babelfish and posted it in French
then Lafferty would read it.
