But even then he wouldn't be able to hold a candle to Lafferty who has had the real thing. |

Alex Zulle is now the virtual Tour winner of 1999. Not Ullrich. Poor guy, Zulle retired just a couple of months ago and he's already forgotten. And the funny thing is that EPO probably wasn't a factor since the causeway crash was what wrecked Zulle's hopes... Actually read these two again...after 6 years, it's all in there http://www.frankieandreu.com/diaries/diary99a.html http://www.frankieandreu.com/diaries/diary99b.html "Kevin explained to me that on the Tourmalet, while riding tempo, Virenque came up to him and asked him what his problem was. Kevin told him he didn't have a problem what was his problem. Virenque looked at Kevin and asked him if he was going "au bloc." That means all out, or very hard. Kevin looked at Virenque and told him "no" are you going "au bloc?" As he said that he clicked up a few gears and rode away. It was funny and Virenque was ****ed." Poor guy, Zulle retired just a couple of months ago and he's already forgotten. ------------------------ I don't think he's forgetten by real cycling fans, the 95 stage in the tour where he went on that long breakaway and put Indurain under pressure - he got 2nd that year. Vuelta wins, some Giro stages, World TT champ, Tour of Switzerland, Tour prologue, road stage of Paris-Nice and got up there in a few classics too, the guy was a seriously classy rider. |

After all, he would hold some ephemeral virtual Tour wins between the time Merckx was tested and he was tested. Curtis L. Russell Odenton, MD (USA) Just someone on two wheels... |

And Eddy says he trusts Armstrong is telling the truth. Of course Eddy is the guy who introduced Armstrong to Ferrari. |
