Survey study: Trials Side-Hopping Style vs. Success
Sponge wrote: Im left foot forward, hop left. Same as KH, Atkins, Baldwin, Xavier etc.. ^ it's a common way. But, Joe Hodges is left foot forward and does it to his right, meaning he sidehops to his backfoot side (107cm). The only pro-level rider who does it this exact way, from watching vids of other pros. But he admits that his way is inferior to the 'common' way, because pedal-grabbing backfooted is a bit harder than frontfooted pedalgrabbing. The list of inferiorities go on. But I'm too tired. to add onto this, Crank grabbing is a little more work because you can't lift your crank a little bit off the object while keeping your pedal on the object as and you have to do a rev when you pedal grab unless you do them goofy foot. edit: anybody got any videos of joe hodges? I've never seen him ride before -- gordito8me 36er fund = 19$ out of 375$ ------------------------------------------------------------------------ gordito8me's Profile: http://www.unicyclist.com/profile/13641 View this thread: http://www.unicyclist.com/thread/57239 |
