Default Alfine OLD?

http://bikehugger.com/2007/11/damn_i_want_that.htm

I posted about the Alfine 8sp rear hub that I found in Germany. Has
anyone out there tried to remove spacers to see how "narrow" it can be
run? I have no use for the disc brake mount, but looking at the
Shimano Europe site it appears that disc is the only option. My rear
stays are 120, so if I could spacer it down to ~125 I think I'd be
ok. 135 is way too wide.

Thx.a
