Default Nashbar Confirmation Email?

Hey all.. I'm in Canada and just placed my first order to Nashbar about 3-4
days ago. I thought I would have received a confirmation email right after I
placed the order, but I guess that isn't the case.

Anyone had any experience ordering from them outside of the US? I don't want
to call them and bug them if it's perfectly normal to wait a few days for
the confirmation email..

I've ordered lots of stuff from them. They have an automated order
confirmation system that notifies you that the order has been placed.
Are you sure you gave them the correct email address? Maybe you should
call them.

Default Nashbar Confirmation Email?

You might have mis-read the web form. I believe the default is to send a
confirmation. Clicking the little box tells the system to NOT send you a
confirmation.

They send out confirmation after they ship the package. They probably
haven't shipped it yet. Last order I had with them they took their sweet
time shipping the item.

notification from them. I called to confirm my order had been placed.
It had and it shipped out that day.

not received anything.

My guess is their order notification system is broken, but they are

I've ordered from Nashbar about 5 times in the last year.
In each case I got a confirming email when the order was placed
and after it had shipped.

I missed this thread until now. Ok.

long story short
I think their software is a bit buggy;
my experience was that when an item I
ordered was out of stock, it
re-calculated my order with standard
shipping even though I had originally
asked for two-day.
/long story short

I ordered a bunch of stuff with two-day
shipping on a Tuesday night. An hour
later, I got an email confirming my
order exactly as I ordered it.

Wednesday afternoon, I emailed customer
service asking for a tracking number.

Thursday, I got a reply that my order
was shipped USPS 7-10 day on that day
(Thursday). Later that day, I got a
new automatic confirmation email that
said one of the items I had ordered
was not in stock and my shipping was
USPS 7-10 day.

Finally, I called and spoke to someone
live. I explained what happened, though
she at first insisted that I had asked
for standard shipping, I read her the
shipping price from my original order
confirmation. They ended up giving me
overnight Saturday delivery on a couple
items, one of which was a replacement
for the item that was removed from the
original order.

They were polite about the whole thing
and I did end up with pedals for my
Saturday ride.
