Default NYC Bike Laws (was: Stand UP! for TIME'S UP! -- and for YOUR Freedoms)

http://www.dot.state.ny.us/pubtrans/share.html
CLAP! CLAP! CLAP! Thank you.

=v= Folks should know that while much of the New York State
law above applies in New York City, some of it does not.
Here's a handy resource describing where things differ:

http://www.times-up.org/bike_legal_faq.php

=v= Some of this was clarified in court last December (when NYC
was sued for seizing bicycles without due process, and attempted
to countersue for an injunction against Critical Mass). It came
out in court that the NYPD were trying to enforce laws that did
not apply in NYC.
_Jym_

P.S.: This thread has sidetracked, so I changed the title. You
should still donate to the TIME'S UP! Bike Legal Defense Fund,
in part because it supports the very same lawyers who exposed
that the NYPD was enforcing inapplicable laws against biking!

That is not a legal refereance at all.

Why are you quoting biased, non-legal sources?
(to get lawyers involved)

So, it really is a fund to support NYC lawyers.

What an obvious scam.

The man said "handy resource", not legal reference. However, he does
quote the applicable state and city statutes. So where's the problem?

Please show me _anything_ that isn't biased. And provide your legal
"refereances".

What's not biased? The things that are held up to be honorable,
like...Religion? Politics? Your mom? Just because something is
biased, doesn't automatically mean it's incorrect, nor incorrect.

It is "filtered" information, and does *not* quote the applicable state
and/or city laws.
It is not a legal reference, any lawyer even a NYC lawyer will tell you
that.

That is what I asked, but You have not and refuse to provide it.
Apparently, they cannot either.
No one can verify the information posted is true.
So it cannot be trusted.

Those are all Your words, WTF are you talking about moron?

= Your mom is biased and incorrect, and has no legal references either.
Does this make you a ******* or an illegal?

This thread WAS about making Lawyers richer.

Reading challenged? That handy resource includes this link:
http://nyc.gov/html/dot/pdf/trafrule.pdf
That's the NYC web site, isn't it? That's only a step or two short of
Bloomberg showing up at your door with the statutes carved in stone.

Why are you quoting biased, non-legal sources?

Before you get on your high horse, read the stuff. In addition to the
link above, there were these links (and before you go jumping to
conclusions, I just included the link titles (I can't do ALL of your
work for you)), all of them reference the organizations' web site -
there is nothing filtered:
New York State Department of Transportation
New York State Department of Motor Vehicles
State University of New York at Buffalo School of Law

What's not biased?
The things that are held up to be honorable,
like...Religion? Politics? Your mom? Just because something is

It's called a typo, a common, albeit avoidable, mistake made while
typing.

Thanks for capitalizing "Your", but it isn't really necessary. Have a
pleasant whatever.
