can a campy 8 speed wheel take 10 speed campy with an adapter.?

I done it with shiman 8/9 wheel
using wheels manufacturing cassette............

The original Shimano HG cassette body was the short body for
sevens. Current HG does 8, 9, 10 and add a spacer behind low
gear for seven. Eleven is a different body.

In Campagnolo the first body was 7/8 with symmetric splines
(similar to the old Shimano UG). The 1999 model does 9, 10,
11 speed. Your older hub with the lump on the right side is
7/8 only.
