Default cycling offences

hello ! after reading most comments about my situation with the police and
my cycle i have more information regarding the charges the police have
preferred against me. i have been charged under the road traffic act 1988
section 29 the charge being that i was cycling with undue care for others.
i was also told that my flashing led back light was not legal and that my
cycle was in such a state the police were moving to forfeit it. i reckon
they over reacted but there is nothing i can do

You could read the threads on flashing lights - they seem to be legal now
but it will be good that you are volunteering to test it in court.

If your bike is in such a state you are better off without it.
Otherwise you could try asking Mr. Plod if he will let you fix it
and then take it away.
