Watching him being spat out the back today you can't help wondering how the ****
he won the Vuelta. Other Teams DS's have voiced their wonderment/suspicion about
his Vuelta performance too.

Bike racing is fickle. Sometimes he form is there, and other times, no
matter how hard you have trained - it ain't

From Davey's own experience.

Similarly, the Vuelta, apart from obviously being a bike race, is a much
different race the the Giro or the Tour.

Perhaps he's using the Tour as a training race for the Vuelta.

He certainly seems to be able to magically peak at just the right week. Might be
a manic depressive feature.
