I cycled to work for 15 years and saved £15000 in that period on
fuel alone. Plus the fact that I was super fit for my age.

And got to work either **** wet through or stinking of sweat. Most
of your time at "work" was spent posting here.

I used to be forced to take a break and post, instead of not taking
breaks which is what I originally did.

Then you jumped of a bridge. ****.

I love being a ****. Just for you.

Why don't you write to the widows of Keith Emerson, Gary Speed and
Robin Williams and let them know what selfish gits their husbands
were?

Tell us how much benefits you are sponging from the nation. You did brag
about it.
Tell us how much your treatment cost the NHS.
Come along Simon, you always boasted about your big pension pot.
****.

Where is your little doggie?

They should be made a disability, then all car drivers would get
disabled status, and all the benefits that go with it. The super rich
cyclists would, of course need to up their game and pay more tax, but
that wouldn't be a problem to them.

And that is why cyclists can take early retirement.

In effect, I retired on my 56th birthday.

He won't need it. After he chucked himself off that bridge he gets loads of
sponging state benefits and lets not forget that large pension pot.

IMO analogy holds
the point is, conclusions* never follow:
* eg. adverts ban, like for %%alcohols, cigarettes, drugs incl. prescription medicines, guns etc

Cars are frequently advertised not for their practical qualities, but for
speed, acceleration, 'sexy' look, fun, the exact features which make them deadly.

They should only be legally advertised off the prime time, only with text and pic warning by H.M. Government, just like fags or spirits.

Is there an advertising ban for alcohol? If there is, I haven't noticed it.

As for prescription medicine, you are probably aware that a significant
proportion USA TV advertising is of the "Ask your doctor about Xxxxx"
variety.

That we have never seen that here does not mean that it is banned. Only
that it hasn't occurred to the pharmaceutical companies and that almost
certainly because doctors' prescribing choices are limited to what the
NHS and NICE have authorised.

Cigarettes may still be advertised on posters or in print. There are
restrictions on point of sale advertising and (of course) on broadcast
advertising.

Guns? Has anyone ever seen an advert for a gun in the UK?

Perhaps I should read "Country Life".
