Kevlar Schmevlar. These tyres are the Spawn of Stan. When a wheel has these
tyres upon them, the mere act of rotating the tyre is a multiple invokation
of the p*nct*re fairy. The number of visitations by
SheWhoMustNotBeNamedOutLoud in a month will outweigh the number of visits by
SWMNBNOL during the previous three years by a seriously large number.

The only place for these tyres is landfill. Do not ask me how I know this!

Bah!

Off topic, took my Bike To Work Dawes Galaxy out for a spin at the
weekend in NorwichWaffly and got up to 27.5mph (ok, ok, on Thunder
Lane). Verily the bike rocketh. Tyres are Schwalbe Marathons 700c I
think, had one pxxxxxxx in a year, touchwood.

That's odd, I swear by them (rather than at them :-) on my commuter
bike. Although I do find that (like any tyre) once worn past a certain
point (which is a long way before "worn out") they do seem prone to
picking up more holes. Dunno why this should be but I've found the same
with motorcycle tyres too.

Off topic, anyone know when Torchwood is back on? :-)

(Specialized Nimbus Armadillos - built like a brick outhouse, weigh
enough to anchor the Queen Mary II, provide negative mudguard clearance,
but don't pu....re)

In ups.com,
spindrift tweaked the Babbage-Engine to tell us:

Don't forget to wave to Mike Burrows as you go past :-)

Swap 'em for Scwalbe Blizzard Sports, then you'll feel better about your
Continentals :-/

Fell out with continental when I found that the GP4000's and the Force
and Attack tyres had a compound made with coloured Dairylea.

Thought I'd give their Black-Chili tyres a crack and got 6 flats in 50
miles. ok it was wet, but they claim to have increased protection when
really it's dairy product content that increased.

Recently took a pair of new GP4 Seasons around France. 350 miles, one
flat in each tyre.

My Scwhalbe Blizzards and my Michelin Krylions are still untorn although
both are a tad worn now through road and turbo use.

As described by others the cheese spread content of these tyres is such that
brand new ones with less than 500 miles on them will puncture multitudinous
times in under a month. Bah! Double Bah! Triple Bah! There is not this
problem with Schwalbe Marathons as on a certain touring steed I know.
