Default Eight-Year-Old Boy Breaks His Spine Mountain Biking!

After being introduced to mountain biking by his father! And mountain
bikers are still trying to introduce as many kids as possible to
mountain biking, probably to increase the pressure for getting access
to more trails! This is just another form of child abuse!

I will check this out and forward any new information. Hopefully this
could be the beginning of the end....

Child rider injured at watershed(?)

I heard from a friend at work that an eight year old boy broke his
spine while ridding in the watershed last week. Didnt see this
reported anywhere else. I heard he is parapalegic!

Anyone have any details?

Healing vibes go out to the rider and his family. I cant imagine going
through this, my son is six.

for real?

bye bye to the good/"tenuously legal" stuff in the shed.

Lady Gravity 04-13-2009 09:48 PM

are you sure? can't find anything on a google search, would really
suck if true however

Ouch. This would be bad news everywhere. Healing vibes.

Mike: I may be getting out of facebook. They have deleted some of my
postings due to "privacy settings" -- if they are starting to act like
"Big Brother", I am outta here. They deleted the first part of this,
but not my added comment printed here with mountain biker verbatim:
(No more news other than this)
------------------------------------------------------
"One of the guys I work with wife works at childrens (hospital) and
she told him who told me.

The boys father was with him, his son wanted to do one more run so dad
waited at the bottom, when his son didnt show up for a few minutes he
went back up the trail and found him.
My coworker was at the hospital and met the dad wo was looking a
little worse for wear understandibly.

So I am pretty sure it is true unfortunatly "

At least the father is able to have a son, you seems a tad jealous.
Also sounds like you're lashing out at your own father.

Ask Yukiko, she'll know what I am talking about.

for you. Get a life.

[Snip all the vindictive gloating crap from Mike V]

For anybody who is interested, Mike V posted a similarly bad taste
article about Sheryl MacLeod (New Zealand's downhill woman's champion)
who broke two bones in her neck earlier this year. Latest news is that
she is expected to make a full recovery - and is keen to get back on her
bike again.

.... proving that the stupidity of mountain bikers, which produced her
first injury, knows no bounds.

Mike (but not with a V)

Presumably you would be welcome in such a habitat, as you are clearly
lack any vestige if humanity.

Thanks for proving my point again. Next time, ask your mommy to help
you with your English.
