Default Supergo/Performance customers - Heads up

I just discovered that Supergo Bike Shops today (9/11/2004) charged my
debit card $49.98. I haven't ordered anything from them in at least 2
months. It's possible that they've stored credit card information in a
database that's been compromised.

I called the phone number listed on my online bank statement and reached
a salesperson for Performance Bikes. I was told to call back on a
weekday when customer service will be in.

So, if you've done business with Supergo/Performance, keep an eye on
your credit card statements and any bank accounts associated with debit
cards they might know about.

It happens all the time. Most of the time it gets straightened out.

Otherwise do like Davey did with the sh!thead CIBC (Canadian Imperial Bank of
Commerce)

He phoned Daughter #1 and told her to put $5K on his card

He phoned Daughter #2 and told her to put $5K on his card

He told CIBC to Firk 'emselves when the nice lady called to see if Davey was
OK and might he be making a payment sometime soon.

(Davey had a $10k limit)

AND he never heard a peep outta the other credit card companies either

Well it proves just how stupid Financial Institutions are.

They traded off the 1.5% preferential rate (or thereabouts) on $26.50 or
around $0.40 for a $10K bad debt.

A smarter institution/individual might have reversed the charge as it was a
scam by AOL anyway, but the boneheaded bank said they couldn't do it without
AOL approval.

Anyhoo, they got a fast lesson in how easy it is for the Firkee to become the
Firkor

It's also possible that there was a data entry error, or that the
charge resulted from misuse of your card number by a third party.

In any event, they will probably get it straightened out pronto.

SUPERGO SUCKS! I was in need of some brake blocks and a chain so I
said what the hell. I order it and TWO WEEKS LATER it shows up
despite shipping Fed ex ground. I called 4 times and each time they
blamed everyone else but themselves. A lot of double talk about how
fed-ex ground guarantees **** within 10 days, but having
worked/shipped with Fed ex I know they guarantee it in 5 days from CA,
this stuff should have take 3 days, SUPERGO stuck with the 10 day
story and I'm sticking to my guns, SUPERGO F-yourself, no one I know
will shop with you.

Interesting. I've ordered from them numerous times with the two day Fed-Ex
upgrade that comes with their discount program. I've never had a problem
and they've backed their products 100%.

I'll vote for this one. Easily done if they process their CC rejects
manually and they pick up the wrong line item.

That is NOT playful-- that is theft! Sorry folks two wrongs do not make a right.
