Is Google Groups down for everybody else?
They go up and down, but man - they've only sputtered up once in the last week or so. |

BTW, there are some free Usenet services if your ISP has dropped Usenet. http://www.newsgroupreviews.com/eternal-september.html appears to be the most widely used. Perhaps "down" was not the best choice of terminology. And sorry for the OT. And I know Google Groups is disdained, but it's very handy. And they hold the invaluable deja archives. And I think they're not evil. |

And Google really needs to fix things to conform with Usenet convention. -- Tºm Shermªn - 42.435731°N, 83.985007°W I am a vehicular cyclist. |

The problem is that Google doesn't do filtering of spam on Usenet like Sonic.net does. Also I have extensive filters set up to filter out all the trolls and annoying posters that I've build up over the years. |
