Ho are time trial brake cables routed?

Still trying to figure out how the brake cables on a time trial aero handlebar. If the cables are internally routed which seems logical since there are no clips or anything on the exterior of the handlebar to hold the housings in place, where do the cables enter the handlebar?

There are both "innie" and "outie" brake levers.

Ah, those Tektro levers are like the ones I have. What I'm trying to figure out is how to get the cable and housing from the brake lever into the handlebar. The only way I can see doing that is to drill a hole in the handlebar near the brake lever. There are no entry holes on the handlebar at present.

Ah, those Tektro levers are like the ones I have. What I'm trying to figure out is how to get the cable and housing from the brake lever into the handlebar. The only way I can see doing that is to drill a hole in the handlebar near the brake lever. There are no entry holes on the handlebar at present.

Nearly anything imaginable is possible but the quick path
here is to get an 'innie' lever set instead.

Why do you need them inside the bar? Is it an aesthetic thing?

I just re-did my wife's drop bar brake levers. Their cables run under
the handlebar tape. Won't that work for you?

Nope. It's a wing-type time trial handlebar and not a drop bar or drop bar brake levers.
