I bet nobody can produce a picture of a 'gun on a uni'

Watch out. The recoil can be a bit tricky.

I got some positive yells from the local pub on my way to campus this
evening... though in all fairness, I knew 2 of the yellers Leaving
school, it had started to pour (as in I was reviewing plans for my ark)
and as I rolled past some guy he said "Just keep rolling!"

Fear is the mind-killer. Fear is the little-death that brings total
obliteration. I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over me and
through me. And when it has gone past, I will turn the inner eye to see
its path. Where the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will
remain.

a friend asked me why I bothered to get so good at unicycling and why I
had the time to do it.

I said: "I have no friends"

everyone laughed

Went out riding on my lunch break today. It was -very- windy,
occasionally blowing me off my uni. I do my usual circuit in reverse
today and I get the usual Ooohs and Aaaahs. Somewhere in the distance I
can hear a loudspeaker system and music. I turn the last corner and head
towards the Waterfont Museum.
The next thing I know there are railings on either side of me and I'm
be coralled towards a finish line with balloons, banners and cheering
spectators!
"AND LOOK AT -THIS- CHAP EVERYONE! LETS HAVE A BIG ROUND OF APPLAUSE
FOR THE BRAVEST RIDER OF THE DAY!!" says the announcer.
Everyone starts clapping and cheering. I don't know where to look.
I cross the finish line with my arms raised and everyone goes mad!
"HOHO!" says the announcer "WE'LL LET YOU KNOW WHEN WE FIND THE OTHER
HALF OF YOUR BIKE!"
I don't stop to chat to anyone. I ride straight out of the finish area,
past all the riders and mechanics and head straight back to work.
Definitely the oddest uni experience yet.
