You can get an OEM version of Premiere pro for $100. Its the full program, but no manuals or anything, its pretty much just the disk. Or you can look at Adobe premiere Elements. -- Jerrick '*500$ /$549.99*' (http://tinyurl.com/6ywusa) *Press Alt+F4 to fix post stretch.*[SIGPIC][SIGPIC][SIGPIC][SIGPIC][SIGPIC][SIGPIC][SIGPIC][SIGPIC][SIGPIC][SIGPIC][SIGPIC][SIGPIC][SIGPIC][SIGPIC][SIGPIC][SIGPIC][SIGPIC][SIGPIC][SIGPIC][SIGPIC][SIGPIC][SIGPIC][SIGPIC][SIGPIC][SIGPIC]JC~ ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Jerrick's Profile: http://www.unicyclist.com/profile/11632 View this thread: http://www.unicyclist.com/thread/66735 Posted Via Usenet.com Premium Usenet Newsgroup Services ---------------------------------------------------------- http://www.usenet.com |

Jerrick;1148988 wrote: Yep, that will work, or just a transfer with usb. If you dont have usb2, its going to be a slow transfer rate though. As said before the codecs used may be troublesome to work with. Burning to a dvd or an iso then encoding the files back to your comp will get them back to a regular avi, mov, or whatever you select, and those will be easy to edit, but thats a lot of extra work and time to just use a file. I pray that you dont end up with .mod files. MiniDV is my favorite and most likely will always be my favorite. Getting a firewire card and cable will runi about $15, but any new-ish computer should already have firewire ports on them so all you need a firewire cable, which is a few dollars. The trouble you save yourself using MiniDV and being able to transfer uncompressed video with firewire, to me, is well worth the extra money compared to a harddrive camera. I need to buy a new camera soon, but I cant afford Hd, so ill be gettnig a nice 3ccd camera. Those are really cheap now and days. Thanks. I found a Canon HV-20 for 400$ in Toronto (a guy selling it, not a store) and he still has the box. So I'm getting tempted with the canon, you know -- Emile.m Team UDC Canada visit www.municycle.ca 2nd *)---TreFlip-'O, M'y galler' (http://tinyurl.com/23w828)y (hum, 07/08 winter footage only) ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Emile.m's Profile: http://www.unicyclist.com/profile/16667 View this thread: http://www.unicyclist.com/thread/66735 Posted Via Usenet.com Premium Usenet Newsgroup Services ---------------------------------------------------------- http://www.usenet.com |

I have the canon hv20 and I've been uploading my videos in a really crappy format, so I saved my file as a dv-avi, but vimeo and youtube won't let me upload it, becuase it's in 24fps. How can I convert the 24fps to like 25fps? By the way Emile, if you end up getting the hv20 it's kinda of hard to figure how to export footage off your camera, a lot of people struggle with it. So if you need help you can shoot me a pm, and I'd be happy to help. -- littleman http://sixsixone.com/ gabetheunicycleman wrote: just a quick question for girl unicyclists, as guys we get nutted, do you ever get clitted.? ------------------------------------------------------------------------ littleman's Profile: http://www.unicyclist.com/profile/15401 View this thread: http://www.unicyclist.com/thread/66735 Posted Via Usenet.com Premium Usenet Newsgroup Services ---------------------------------------------------------- http://www.usenet.com |

With firewire its as simple as plugging it in, going to the capture function of whatever program youre running and start capturing the tape. If you are trying to capture from usb or are recording onto the sd card, then forget that habit and keep it to the tape and firewire, cause then its a direct, non-compressed transfer. Also, its usually not the cameras, cable, or programs fault. If youre handling high res video like 1080 or higher, youre going to need a computer with specs good enough to not lag up, otherwise your program will crash, youll get skipped frames, or many other problems. -- Jerrick '*500$ /$549.99*' (http://tinyurl.com/6ywusa) *Press Alt+F4 to fix post stretch.*[SIGPIC][SIGPIC][SIGPIC][SIGPIC][SIGPIC][SIGPIC][SIGPIC][SIGPIC][SIGPIC][SIGPIC][SIGPIC][SIGPIC][SIGPIC][SIGPIC][SIGPIC][SIGPIC][SIGPIC][SIGPIC][SIGPIC][SIGPIC][SIGPIC][SIGPIC][SIGPIC][SIGPIC][SIGPIC]JC~ ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Jerrick's Profile: http://www.unicyclist.com/profile/11632 View this thread: http://www.unicyclist.com/thread/66735 Posted Via Usenet.com Premium Usenet Newsgroup Services ---------------------------------------------------------- http://www.usenet.com |

In fact vimeo only makes 24fps conversions, and will not make a 25fps conversion of your video even if thats what you actually recorded your footage at. I dont understand how its "hard" to export footage from the HV20. Every NLE system can easily read and understand footage from the HV20. As long as your fire wire is plugged in and your application settings are set correctly it is as simple as clicking a couple buttons. -- agentQ --- 'Uneed Films' (http://www.uneedfilms.com) ------------------------------------------------------------------------ agentQ's Profile: http://www.unicyclist.com/profile/13021 View this thread: http://www.unicyclist.com/thread/66735 Posted Via Usenet.com Premium Usenet Newsgroup Services ---------------------------------------------------------- http://www.usenet.com |

Emile.m;1150418 wrote: Thanks guys. I may buy the HV-20 after christmas, since the price will go down I guess. Yea I don't how much cheaper it can get, $400 for an hd camera, thats pretty good. Also it's easy to transfer videos onto the computer, but alot people don't have the settings right on the camera. Thats why I offered my help. If you look on hv20.com there's a whole thread discussing the problem. The big issue with mine was uploading hd into wmm, which unless you run vista doesn't support it. -- littleman http://sixsixone.com/ gabetheunicycleman wrote: just a quick question for girl unicyclists, as guys we get nutted, do you ever get clitted.? ------------------------------------------------------------------------ littleman's Profile: http://www.unicyclist.com/profile/15401 View this thread: http://www.unicyclist.com/thread/66735 Posted Via Usenet.com Premium Usenet Newsgroup Services ---------------------------------------------------------- http://www.usenet.com |

Im annoyed by the label HD. Its great programs support "HD" now, but me and many other have footage way higher than the 1080. Some of my clips are double what hd is now. In 2015, 2160p will become the new HD, but for gamers, all of this is years old. I dont know, I see HD on everything now, and to me, its just "Ok, higher resolution, old news. Next?" Ill just start labeling my monitor and games at ultra super HD. lol I cant wait till Christmas is over. I think ill save up for my camera then. -- Jerrick '*500$ /$549.99*' (http://tinyurl.com/6ywusa) *Press Alt+F4 to fix post stretch.*[SIGPIC][SIGPIC][SIGPIC][SIGPIC][SIGPIC][SIGPIC][SIGPIC][SIGPIC][SIGPIC][SIGPIC][SIGPIC][SIGPIC][SIGPIC][SIGPIC][SIGPIC][SIGPIC][SIGPIC][SIGPIC][SIGPIC][SIGPIC][SIGPIC][SIGPIC][SIGPIC][SIGPIC][SIGPIC]JC~ ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Jerrick's Profile: http://www.unicyclist.com/profile/11632 View this thread: http://www.unicyclist.com/thread/66735 Posted Via Usenet.com Premium Usenet Newsgroup Services ---------------------------------------------------------- http://www.usenet.com |
