Best bicycle books?

Here's one person's list: Amazon.com:http://xrl.us/BestBicycleBooks Any other recommendations? Yes. _Cyclecraft_ by John Franklin. It's been published in Britain for years, but an American edition just came out. It's about practical cycling in the real world, and the important topic of how to ride on real roads where there are real cars. It does a very good job of showing how to handle yourself on the road. It's much more condensed and better edited than John Forester's _Effective Cycling_, and it's much more diplomatic and less curmudgeonly. It's also much, much more sensible than Hurst's "Damn Forester, nothing can save you but becoming mystically, hyper-alertly one with traffic" rants. - Frank Krygowski |
