Virtual Bike Tour for your City?
Here is a great way fo residents local to Palo Alto to entertain their
out of town guests. It is also an excellent tool that Palo Alto businesses can use to sell a visit to their places of commerce. http://www.bikeroute.com/BRdC/routeV...php?routeid=98 It requires Firefox or Safari...... To do a Virtual Bike Tour for your city first of all you will need Firefox (a far better browser that you can download he http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all.html ) then you will want to compile a list of all the sights to see in your city. Number them. On a separate sheet of paper draw a rough map of your city as a box with major streets forming the edges. On this "map", plot the numbers you have assigned to the points of interest. Then connect all of them with a line (your route). Transfer this information to our map and you have a virtual tour for your city! Bonus points for any editorial you can add later about the stops you will have chosen! Here is the written instruction set for how to use our maps: http://www.bikeroute.com/BRdC/MapInstructionSet.html Here is the video instruction set for how to use our maps: http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-8537188732270706024&hl=http:// video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-8537188732270706024&hl=en Perfect love drives out fear - John 4:18 Martin Krieg "Awake Again" Author 2009 w/"How America Can Bike & Grow Rich" http://www.bikeroute.com/HBGR '79 & '86 TransAmerica Bike Rides Coma, Paralysis, Clinical Death Survivor NBG Founding Director, HiWheel Cyclist |
