Coe State Park east of Gilroy Sunday morning, according to the Santa Clara County Sheriff's Office. Sgt. Don Morrissey said two cyclists signaled for help using electronic beacons inside the park. The first signal came to the dispatch center about 6 a.m. The CHP searched for the victims with a helicopter, and the Sheriff's Office used off-road motorcycles to look for the injured people in the park's rugged terrain, Morrissey said. After the two cyclists were found several hours later, the searchers determined that one had been injured in a bicycle crash, and the other complained of stomach pains. Morrissey said the crash victim was transported to a local hospital by ambulance. Morrissey did not have any details about the type of injury the hospitalized cyclist suffered, or about the victims themselves. The cyclists were found a couple of miles from the end of Gilroy Hot Springs Road, which enters through the southwestern side of the park. -- I am working on creating wildlife habitat that is off-limits to humans ("pure habitat").
