North Webster takes a step toward creating a trail
From the Ink-Free News:
The study is expected to cost $30,000, That's thirty thousand dollars just to find out whether it's feasible to build a trail from North Webster to Wawasee Middle School. According to Google Maps, that's 3.7 miles. How many middle-school students could you teach the rules of the road to for thirty grand? How many middle-school phys ed instructors and health-class teachers could you teach how to ride safely? -- Joy Beeson joy beeson at centurylink dot net http://wlweather.net/PAGEJOY/ |

How many middle-school phys ed instructors and health-class teachers could you teach how to ride safely? I'm reading that for U.S. teachers that: As of May of 2018 elementary school teachers, a wide umbrella for those who teach elementary level education to kids (excluding special education, a separate occupation with its own set of skills), had a median annual income of $58,230. So $30,000 is sort of chicken feed in the education field. -- Cheers, John B. |
