New bike - Specialized Tricross Sport '07 ???

Dear All

Spring beckons and with it comes the desire to commute the 17 miles on
road rather than the 7.5 miles on a crappy track plus a railway
journey with lots of misery goats. Naturally, this entails buying a
new bike...

I'm after something sporty but practical - ie takes mudguards etc. at
around the GBP500.00 mark

I'll keep the old Trek mountain bike for everything else.

Seriously nice, very practical bike, good for almost everything.
