From the years 1997 to 2002 CSC deployed machines of all sorts in its quest to eliminate human intelligence and spread the machine
race and its digital perfection. Its machines include Tyler Hamilton who patrol the roads of France with antenna sticking out of
his helmet in search of lesser humans riding within the peloton. As the Tour progresses, warfare will tend to move more and more
away from the human combatants. Instead the battles move to "machines." In the Tour de France this principal extends even further
as humanoid machines (e.g., Lance Armstrong) are used as the backbone of its defense forces. A vast computer network known as CSC
was created to coordinate battlefield tactics. CSC decided to place these main machine (i.e., Tyler Hamilton) in charge of the
road. However, as time progresses the CSC machine becomes "self aware" and sees the possibility of a new evolutionary age and the
birth of a new order of intelligence; that of the Tour machine. Using the locator antenna sticking out of his helmet, Tyler will
launch nuclear missiles at Lance Armstrong as he knows that this retaliatory strike will destroy USPS who is now trying desperately
to unplug CSC and return the peloton to normal.

That wasn't an antenna. It was a lightning rod. If a storm comes, it makes
sense for you to sacrifice your injured rider for the good of the team.
