Default eBay shipping.

I haven't sold anything through eBay in a long time and I'm wondering why they changed their procedure. The last time I sold a bike I told them what shipping service I was going to used and they allowed me to print a label with all of the pertinent information and the bar codes. Then I would carry the boxed item down to the FedEx office, they would scan the box and tell me the cost.

Well this time they wanted me to give them the weight and dimensions and then told me it couldn't be shipped. Since I had to estimate this it certainly isn't a surprise. But why would they change a working system?
