Default Wilderness Q&A

Why did Ali go to jail? *I thought it had to do with his refusal to
serve, but if the Army didn't pursue that I guess I thought wrong.- Hide quoted text -

No, You are right...he did many things wrong. He did go to jail. It
wasn't for very long though, i think maybe 3 months max though he was
sentenced to 5 years, They released him. He was stripped of his title
for the conviction accordingly and on a 3 year ban where he went off
to various colleges to talk about his lifetime.

Interesting is the fact their was the draft starting in 1964 which
coincides with his conversion to islam that same year. how
conveniant. He used wonderful comments, watch some of his pre-match
comments, I especially love the one where he stands there with the
mouth open, and then splurts out of subject comments calling one
opponent..."he look like a big ugly bear'...Wow. The wisdom! Then ther
was the "phantom punch" where Liston threw the match, basically
because he was afraid due to death threats from the famed "nation of
Islam" that ali had joined. This is all facts folks. Look them up. It
is also known that many of his speeches were pre-written by others
because he allowed to speak himself, he could not openly talk,
example. When talking about women boxing..."Women are not made to be
hit in the breast, and face like that... the body's not made to be
punched right here [patting his chest]. Get hit in the breast...
hard... and all that". Despite this great admiration for women...he
treated women like **** and did not follow any of the customs he so
desperately wanted to portray for the nation of islam by marrying over
4 times and even having children on the side to others while married.

So in regards to various history...which I love to read about and
study closely. Just to be clear, He was indeed Borderline MR and LD or
learning disabled...as some of his children born in extramarital
affairs also display the LD diagnosis. I guess it is just in the genes.

The poster wrote Ali was "borderline" MR. You do know what borderline
means?

Ali's IQ is a 78.

And never did he say that he needed to "put food on his family."
