Brendo Have you checked out the AYUP lights?www.ayup.com. These look seriously good. For some reason they come in a multi-light package, but you could split an order with a mate and have two sets for around $200 each. Anyone keen to split with me? You mean you get two twin beam units (i.e. 4 lights) or are you saying you'd like to split up the twin beams? Travis |

Funnily enough it's near a town called Nevertire, which would be a good place for cyclists. 20km south of my town is a town called Mummballup. The pub there used to sell tee shirts that on the front said "Where the hell is Mummballup?", and on the back said "Half way between Yabberup and Noggerup!". Mountain bike riders from Bunbury that ride at the Pile Road circuit will tell you that the first house on Pile Road proudly calls itself Hemmeroid House. Friday |

Hilarity ensues, Vic: http://tinyurl.com/25lpfw, NSW: http://tinyurl.com/2e98zh and Tas: http://tinyurl.com/24x22q Although I though Bogan Road was closer to Melton Mowbray. -- cfsmtb |

It already comes with two light units, one large LIPP and two small ones. You can add a second charger and a second large LIPP (called something politically incorrect), and split it into two sets. Monsterman has done this. Donga |

This part of it (not too far from Bogan) seems to have more than its fair share. You can avoid them by getting up early, but you still have to watch out for their droppings in the bike lanes. -- John Coffee is only a way of stealing time that should by rights belong to your older self. - Terry Pratchett, "Thud!" |

So you would get 2 x Twin light units, each one with it's own mounting for it's purpose. Has anyone used them? Do they throw a good beam? Weigh much? Brendo |

I've observed riders with these on as the sole light around town and they are disturbingly not visible in traffic. That depends on the button, some are dim, some are very bright, and they're very reliable in my experience too. I just borrowed, then bought, Bikeguy FX5 + RX6 buttons. Front 5 leds, Rear 6 leds. The front has some see ability, IF you place it so it doesn't blind you. |
