The 39 is on my SS, and I'm never going to run a 53 on that Come grab if you like (kew), if it works well then paypal me a donation... if it doesnt work, throw it at your neighbours cat (*ducks and runs from cfsmtb*) Unfortunately I'm in Canberra, but I'll keep it in mind. Doesn't look too bad in that photo. However, I'm also replacing the cassette and chain at the same time, so a brand new set of rings would be the smart option. Many thanks. Hey Lama, I ended up buying some replacements from Chain Reaction Cycles. They had exactly what I wanted at a good price (although not currently in stock!). Many thanks for your kind offer. -- Bean Remove "yourfinger" before replying |

From the look of their website, they make a range from cheap to high end, and their products are widely rebadged by other 'manufacturers'. Did you get a cheap one and hence get what you paid for? The axle broke after about a year of use and I'm not a heavyweight. Apparently it has happened to other people. I've gone the other way to Parbs and got a cheapy VP BB off ebay. I can get about 4 or 5 of these for one SKS. Another option is to get Enduro bearings to replace the existing ones on a mid-range Truvativ whose bearings are stuffed. The Enduros should last longer. Or go for an external bearing crankset. -- slaw |
