Not because I'm anti-carbon, though.

I can't remember if I like you or not.

Bitch,
No one likes Phillip. His own dog won't even hump his leg.

We're homies. I said you should buy the Look because it's awesome. But if
you are really worried about hurting it then you should buy lugged steel.
It can be repaired and will last a lifetime. Plus, if you're not a fat ass
you can get a frame made with Columbus Ultra Foco or True Temper S3, both of
which can easily be built into 3-3.5 lb. frames with lugs. That sort of
steel doesn't match the fatigue life and impact resiliency of stuff like
Reynolds, 853, Columbus Brain, EL-OS or Genius, but it's as light as several
carbon bikes without feeling dead.

I loved my Trek OCLV that I had in law school. But I dislodged my rear
wheel once and could have broke the frame. Because I didn't have the money
to replace it, I sold the whole bike and bought a Merckx Strada with Chorus
9. It was heavier, but I like the geometry better and I wasn't afraid to
crash it hauling ass downhill in Boerne, Texas.
