Default brake pads .. ?? You know ??

I will need two new pads for the front wheel.

Was wondering if there is a prefered pad.

The brakes are the traditional center-pull cantilever brakes..
Bike is a Cannondale T800 touring bike..

The present pads have metal hold, or case. Rubber is
in the case. Looks like the whole pad must be replaced.

Any thoughts?

Once you determine the correct bracket, get a dual compound, or salmon
compound if dual is no available.
