I have had two high dollar bikes stolen out of my garage in less than a
month. The last one lasted less than 24 hours. Big door down and locked,
side door closed but not locked.I live in a small town, nice neighborhood.
Cops couldn't care less, "here is a report number, call your insurance
company".What a bummer.

They should at least have formed a search party and searched
every home within five miles of your garage, kicking down doors...
Of course I am kidding. That would be like the old Soviet
Union or China, where the cops could do that and find your bikes.

In the United States, they aren't allowed to do that unless
somebody shoots at a cop.

Well, it worked the first time, so they did it again. Get yourself a
video camera, they will return.

Given that scenario, it's highly likely that you or someone in your family
knows the thief.

After the first one was stolen didn't it occur to you to lock the side door
as well?
