Ffs! Whats the pitch of the chain, an inch? Go for good money these
old bikes, I may keep mine for another 150 years...

Dear T,

Inch-pitch was the most popular size for years. The move to dainty
half-inch pitch came later.

There were also oddball 3/4 inch pitch chains and all sorts of odd
designs. I've always liked the simplicity of the Morgan chain:
