Chinese Carbon Fiber
With the most experience practically anywhere of building carbon fiber framesets and components, the Chinese are presently on the verge of taking the business over. For $500 you can buy a Winspace frameset and for another $400 you can get some pretty good aero wheels. Now the wheels aren't as good as the Enve or Zipp wheels or the Campagnolo wheels but they aren't far enough off to even begin to refute the costs of those other wheels. The actual name brand Chinese framesets are built very closely to Look quality which are also constructed in China to Look standards. You can buy a Chinese integrated bar and stem that is every bit as well constructed as the name brand American pieces after which they are modeled.
I would have to wonder what their quality control is after buying that set of Rock Bros. keo-copy pedals and having them a couple of mm off of the correct size and stripping out a new FSA Gossamer crankset.
