Another psi question
It depends on what kind of tire you have. My maxxis, creepy crawler says up to 50psi but, according to my guage(which is undoubtedly incorrect), I have it at 65psi. Tire pressure is all about personal preferrence. I pay less and less attention to my guage every time I fill up or change a tire. If it feels too tight, let some out. If it feels too squishy, fill it up. -- hydrophidian Why is it acceptable for you to be an idiot but, not acceptable for me to notice it? -Dilbert I hate people who hate people. If you are using your uni for trials and such, most people tend to have the tire somewhere between 20 and 35psi. In my opinion, 65 is way to high to be running a trials tire on. -- CoreTechs UNICYCLE FOR CHRIST In nomine patris et filii et spiritus sancti )--21stOverall-RTL2008-O )--18thCriterium-RTL2008-O ------------------------------------------------------------------------ CoreTechs's Profile: http://www.unicyclist.com/profile/15629 View this thread: http://www.unicyclist.com/thread/73418 Posted Via Usenet.com Premium Usenet Newsgroup Services ---------------------------------------------------------- http://www.usenet.com |

This should be called the "Obsessed with PSI numbers" thread. The number isn't important. The ride quality is. Knowing the exact psi is not useful to someone else, so what's the difference? Just find the performance that works for you and play with it. Pump gauges usually aren't the most accurate; better to get a dedicated tire gauge if you want to continue with the obsession... -- johnfoss John Foss Email: "jfoss" at "unicycling.com" -- www.unicycling.com ----------------------------------------------- "False facts are frequently formed from figures fabricated from fear fired fiction." -- Harper ------------------------------------------------------------------------ johnfoss's Profile: http://www.unicyclist.com/profile/832 View this thread: http://www.unicyclist.com/thread/73418 Posted Via Usenet.com Premium Usenet Newsgroup Services ---------------------------------------------------------- http://www.usenet.com |

Another psi question
i ride at 1psi per 10lbs of body weight + 10. that sets me at around 24psi for my normal running. Well, If i'm doing bigger stuff, i like it to be around 30 or so, or more. (got a snakebite flat one day that i was supposed to be riding with trial bicyclists, had to go and patch my tire with my LAST 2 patches.) run it really high, get comfy with that, then lower it. Thats what i sometimes do. -- unibikeling "-I'll learn the landing once i do the takeoff-" - me 'Sixsixone - Great gear for all riding!'
