My idea is to ride from the summit of Mauna Kea to the coast. Anyone
want to get together and ride down the tallest* mountain in the world?

Be safe. How long of a ride and how much time are you taking to do it?

It's probably 4 days of riding. Two water x-ings, one dirt road, some
existing trails, and some parts that may need some hacking to get
through.

Lol, if you had described it that way in your original submission, you
probably would not have won! I suspect that it's quite more colorful
and challenging in actual reality! I'll bet it's going to be epic!

It is the tallest mountain in the world but half of it is under
water

That would be a long ride for me, but I'll show up for that.
It's a scary road at parts. There's snow up there now.

I am looking forward to the write to see the gear taken and what you
found worked well and did not. Keep us posted.

A great mountain adventure isn't just about the descent, it's more so
about the ascent and the sacrifices that were made to reach the summit.

I have always been drawn towards Hawaii and your idea sounds
intriguing, but I' think there are some obstacles to overcome. Hawaii is
relatively easy to get to and has a tourist reputation. For example,
Hawaii doesn't have the same allure as South America does when it comes
to the idea of adventure.

The next question is is riding even allowed on Mauna Kea?

That being said PM me. I'd love to take a closer look at this.

Carl

Yeah right, lol! And the actual pitch for the movie "Dark

Ran out of time to add... Could you post your original pitched
submission? I'm sure everyone would be interested in reading it.

Whatever you say..."lol"-boy.

The proposal is a huge pdf-file with maps and photographs.

Kris - can you post it on your website somewhere? If not, I'll see if
we can post it somewhere.
