Is Damon Kluck Really so Anonymous?
Marty Jemison was fired by Bruyneel and was going to be a firefighter
in Utah, but is running his TdF tours, and minding his own business. Livingston works as a coach in the BASEMENT of Mellow Johnnies in Austin, completely dependent on Armstrong for his daily bread. Is Damon Kluck really that "anonymous" selling real estate in Bend Oregon? The capital of the hippy cycling world? From Jelly Belly to Saturn to a 2 year cycling contract at USPS to selling real estate in Bend? I mean really? Nobody figured this one out? There is zero real journalism going on in the cycling world...It's all about selling as many TREK bikes as possible. Kluck is the "anonymous" informer. Boo-Ya, VELOPORK.COM |

Boo-Ya, VELOPORK.COM You guys keep on this thing as if it's only about the money, and somehow miss the Big Attraction. Yeah, sure, for a few it was the money. But really, for most, it wasn't about money, even for many at Trek, it wasn't even about selling bikes. It was about winning. People want to be part of something bigger than themselves, and this was that opportunity. You really need to look at things in a context other than money to understand what went on, what the attraction was, what would motivate people to do the things they did (doping or otherwise). --Mike-- Chain Reaction Bicycles www.ChainReactionBicycles.com |

People want to be part of something bigger than themselves, and this was that opportunity. I've never wanted to be a part of anything bigger than me. Hero worship is for fags. I've never put the jersey of another man's name on my back. A USA champion's jersey I gave to a friend. My gf wears Schlecks Beijing jersey. I typically ride in t-shirts and never wore a yellow bracelet. Yellow bracelet = ignorant cocksucker in my book. |

If you've truly never wanted to be part of something bigger than yourself, and not just being argumentative, I feel very sorry for you. It's not about hero worship, but I suppose a narcissist could rationalize it that way. Until you've been part of something truly special, I guess you'd never understand. |

Yes, "basement"; but not exactly a dirt floor crawl space. -1/2 for misleading rhetoric and unnecessary capitalization. Johhny's. -1, sp. "Completely dependent on Armstrong for his daily bread" is just plain wrong, to the best of my knowledge. -5 Livingston is a coach. +1. Minus 6-1/2 on the first four test questions isn't a very good batting average in Journalism class. --D-y |

You're wrong as can be mate. When you see a grown man wearing a Jordan jersey or can list the starting line up of any team in any sport you don't feel absolute pity for them ? That they don't have anything better in their lives going on then some crap on the idiot box? The douchebags that go to baseball games with a pad of paper and pencil and track statistics? No man - I don't wave flags - take oaths or make pledges - give a rats ass about borders - don't pray - don't worship and because of it I stay true to myself. I feel pity for anyone that doesn't. |
