There was only one?!

I got the advice "Never follow a pot smoker downhill."

None of this was really as scary as finding out that many of
the degenerate, no-good, aggro roadies, depraved MTBers and
cross-dressing cyclocrossers had responsible day jobs and were
respectable members of society.
