Hoorah!!

Ah - I should've understood the trance-like look on your face as bein
"What the hell is he riding?!??!?" And yes, you've interpreted i
rightly. MTB with profile bullhorns and levers/shifters whacked on th
ends which do a pretty good STI impersonation actually! I've been ver
pleased with how it works... Cheaper than STI, and besides, waste no
want not, and so on... There are too many cables flying around at th
moment, you're right - That'll be improved when the fron
derailleur/shifter comes off. At least I'm easily recognisable -
don't think I've seen many other MTBs with bullhorns!

Those pictures didn't do justice to just how 'blue' that fixie is!

the blue is growing on me (so to speak). My first reaction when
picked it up was "But it's blue!".entertained thoughts of getting i
resprayed (this wil lbe inevitable as there a few patches o
bubbling/rust spots developed in palces) but what colour? I lerv m
mint green roady (mainly cos nobody else rides it) but the blue suit
the utilitarian commuting use.

which way do you ride? you live near me. maybe you know some secre
routes..

i always thought of chroming a bike would be awesome, if a bit
'dragsterish'...

my route? coming home it's past the cathedral and down the hill, across
hoddle and into highett, burnley and bridge rd (mind the car doors!)
across the river and up through kew junction all the way to harp - then
the bike path to burke rd, gordon st, across balwyn rd and then
backstreets to my place down on belmore rd near elgar... I know I could
avoid the hills if i wanted, but i chalk it up as 'training' and endure
it

Me too (I used to own a full chrome BMX). Here's an example:

I've gone off it now though.. there's just so much more potential
in paint.
